Two Richardson "Short" Stories

My wife and I were near the beach. We were barbequing a couple steaks for dinner on the forward deck before returning to camp. Once done, we moved to the the back for a leisurely dinner.  With out thinking she said, "Won't this boat be great for Ice Fishing?"

I took my uncle for a short ride to show him the Richardson. I asked if he would like to go out on Ontario. It was pretty rough when we arrive at the channel, but I continued through. I then remembered my toolbox that I left setting on the head. (Toilet near the bow in the cabin) I asked if he would place it on the deck as we were in the breakers. He said he would and went forward. We hit a good wave and I peaked in to see if he was OK. The toolbox (about 40 lbs) was in the air about the same level as my uncles' head. He watched it fall to the deck. He returned to his seat, looked at me and said, "Well built boat." We turned around and returned to camp.
