2008 from the Panhandle to the Pond The Panhandle was great until Murphy came to visit. In February Dara left from Florida to be with her mom and dad in their time of need. Her dad was serious, Dara never returned to Florida. (He is doing well now. In fact, he and Connie will be flying to Long Island to Danny and Mim's where Dara and I will join them to celebrate his 90th birthday.) Not long after Dara left, I was locked out on the second floor balcony. It was pouring rain and a tornado watch was in effect. Thanks to Kenny's present, (a knife from Afghanistan) I was able to whittle through the hurricane doors to safety. (The landlord was not very happy.) I then discovered a tumor in Max's mouth just before the lease ended and I had it removed. Max and I drove South to Brad and Sharie's where I received the bad news of Max's melanoma cancer and his expected life span of a month. Max and I returned to Endicott, NY to Stay with Uncle Don while Max was given a check-up by a local Vet clinic and scheduled for an examination at Cornell. During Max's examination a life threatening intestinal blockage was discovered and next day surgery followed. Between the stomach surgery and the Cornell exam, I came down with the Flu. Cornell agreed with the earlier melanoma findings but gave no hope for the new DNA Vaccine that I had wanted for Max. My flu turned into Pneumonia. I called my brother who took me to the VA hospital in Syracuse. Uncle Don took care of Max. While in the hospital I acquire the very dangerous Antibioti-Resistant Staph Infection (MRSA). My sister Paula, Alex, and Michael had took trips to Syracuse to help see to my comfort and provide support. Don, Jr. and Michael came to Sandy Pond and prepared the house for Dara. Dara was no longer needed in Vegas and flew to NY. Dara arrived at the hospital to see me already on the mend. Boy, was I glad to see her. "THANK YOU" TO ALL OF MY FAMILY YOU MAKE LIFE WORTH LIVING
