September 2009
The Water goes down and the boats and docks come out. Fall work has begun. Docks and hoists are ready for next year.
Small Boats still need work. Large boat is winterized and ready for cover. Camper also needs winterizing. Next year it needs floor (time allowing) then tires, etc. before being travel ready.
The Cabana is coming down and with luck will be disposed of and that area landscaped this year. Originally it was constructed as a used car office on Front St. in Binghamton. It was purchased around 1951 by my grandparents as a one room sleeping area. Soon a screened kitchen/dining area was added and then a small bedroom and finally toilet and sink area, turning it into almost a small camp. It eventually became a shed when I saved this original structure and purchased the long house trailer. It has outlived it's usefulness, but not our memories.
More Sights while on my walk.
