5/2012 TO 2014

1-15-2014  A few pictures taken of flooding at Sandy (North) Pond and South Pond. The Pictures at South Pond were taken yesterday. The pictures of the North Pond were taken today. Early this AM it was reported that the levels had already receded by 8 plus inches. What you see were sent to me by friends. As far as I know, the ice jam at the inlet to North Pond is still there.

12-25-2013  A few Christmas Pictures in Winston Salem, NC

12-20-2013  As you may or may not know, we have closed on a place in North Carolina. Dara has family here and the weather is almost as friendly as our trips to Florida. We still plan on making it to Florida as often as possible, however, it may not be for quite as long as we have in the past. 

Here is our little Condo

Each building has 12 Condos (4 each floor) There are 15 of these buildings and about 20 Town Houses (each 2 family) in this development.

We have (2) similar Bathrooms - one (as shown) with tub shower off the hall, the other in Master Bedroom with standing/sitting shower. Our Laundry room (off the hall) also has a utility closet and access to heating/cooling unit.

We gather with family on Thanksgiving

(9-21-2013) Sonia left for home after a short visit. We walked. We dined. We visited family. We went to the Salmon Hatchery. We just visited. She was amazed at the white birch growing from the Oak stump next to the fence............... And, we introduced her to The Man Cave.

8/24/12  HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARA... No, I won't tell

8/4/12  After Robin, Riley and Jaz left, the remainder of July was pretty normal. (Except for Physical therapy and that stuff. Oh purchased kayaks too.  Will have to get picts  of them.) Not many picts taken, see below.

7/6/12  (At Sandy Pond) Last night while playing cards in the Gazebo with Robin, Jaz Marie, and Riley; I spotted three followed by two more bright orange lights coming at us from Lake Ontario. My 1st impressions were of helicopters on maneuvers from Fort Drum. Coming on a straight course as if they had left the nuke plant, they were heading for our house. They were in a straight line and we went out to see and hear better. (I grabbed my camera too.) There was never any sound. Almost directly overhead they made a sharp right turn and headed South one at a time. Just as they turned each in less than a minute became a dim white line and immediately disappeared. This processes took about 15 minutes total. Anyone have any Idea what they were???

As we watch they all looked like perfect spheres until turning. I cannot explain those pictures that are not. The pictures are in order of when taken. Those you may think were the camera moving, show stars that disagree.

6/24/2012  TED REITER died last Wednesday. For many at Sandy Pond he was Bud Reiter's son. For most of us he was a good man and friend. He was the "Pirate" who along with "Captain Mike" handed out pirate treasures to children at parties. He was that person who would show up at our camp and help my neighbors and myself with that extra special service for our boating needs. I never saw Ted at a meeting, at the Marina, in town, or just walking, that he did not stop, ask how I was doing, and fill me in on the latest. Our hearts go out to Bud and his family.  He will be truly missed.

6/2/2012  Dara would like to show her new furniture with her move to add desk to the office. Also her secretary that took her desks old location in the living room. Merlin needed to show his new haircut.
